| It looked like a team reunion of sorts on the Houston Astros roster today. In their starting lineup was former Phillie Michael Bourn along with former Red Soxers Bill Hall and Angel Sanchez. On the bench is former Phillie pinch-hitter extraordinairre (in my SOM play anyway) Jason Michaels. On the Astros pitching staff we have former Soxer Brandon Lyon, and former Phillies J. A. Happ, Nelson Figueroa and Brett Myers. To add to the mix, future Phillie Hunter Pence is on his pre-trade Astros, starting in right field. As for the game itself, the afforementioned Myers and Roy Halladay treat the fans to a pitching duel, with the Phils busting open a 1-1 game in the 8th via four runs off of former Phillie Figueroa, who absorbs the loss. A 2-run double for Raul Ibanez and a 2-run single for Carlos Ruiz account for the four runs. For Ruiz, it caps a 3 for 3 day for the perfect 1.000 average on the early season so far. |
