April 5, 2011 Red Sox 10, Indians 3

The Sox spread 18 hits all around Progressive Field, including two of those that go over the wall in the form of a 3-run shot for Carl Crawford and a 2-run dinger for Jacoby Ellsbury. Five of the regulars are batting over the .400 mark through the four games so far, with the team overall at .331, tops in the American League. The win also gives the Red Sox the distinction of being the only undefeated team remaining in the majors, and the Indians remain the only winless team in the American League.

Carl Crawford connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI as the Boston Red Sox
defeated the Cleveland Indians by a score of 10 to 3 at Progressive
Field.

Boston brought 3 runs across the plate in the 2nd inning with the help of 3
hits. J.D. Drew led off and started the rally when he slapped a single.
After an out was recorded, Marco Scutaro stepped in and he stroked a single.
Jacoby Ellsbury got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on
strikes. Crawford was up next and he lofted a three-run bomb. Dustin
Pedroia got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. That scoring would
be all that was needed. Boston had 18 hits for the night while Cleveland had
6.

The win was credited to Josh Beckett(1-0) who went 7 innings allowing 3 runs.
Josh Tomlin(0-1) was tagged with the loss. Boston scored big getting 8 runs
off him in 5 innings.
