April 8, 2011 Red Sox 5, Yankees 1 (Red Sox home opener)

A sellout crowd for the Fenway Park opener sees something done that no other Red Sox team in history has ever done. The win gives the team a 7-0 start to the season, the best start in team history. Much better than the 0-6 start IRL. Even better that the Sox beat the Yankees today, that is just icing on the cake. Adrian Gonzalez continues to roll along with a solo homerun, his fourth homer in the last three games, leading the majors with 6 homers and 15 RBI through seven games.
